Carbon Footprint Reduction

 Carbon Footprint Reduction

Carbon Footprint Reduction is currently a hot topic, as companies try to reduce their contribution to global warming. The printing industry has traditionally been high-impact on the environment and produced significant emissions. Marstan Press aim to deliver competitive print services with the minimum environmental impact.

In January 2008 we had a carbon audit carried out by carbon reduction specialist Carbon Clear. The results of the audit highlighted the several main areas within our business which produce the greatest levels of carbon dioxide. Since then, we have worked to reduce our carbon footprint. Unfortunately it is currently too expensive to completely 'offset' our emissions, however we plan to monitor this, and are working towards becoming carbon neutral in the next few years.

Throughout the Print Production process we have been removing chemical processes, one example of this has was our investment in chemical free platemaking equipment. We believe choosing Marstan as your print company makes economic and environmental sense.
